5 Stars Good Product
This is a good survival guide. It has all the basics and much more. It shows you everything from making shoes out of tires to how to cook shark. It gives you many illustrated examples of animals, plants, food, knots, poisions, shelters, signaling, weapons, first aid, and navigation. This book is a must for any survival kit.
1 Star First this is NOT a “SAS” survival handbook
First this is NOT a “SAS” survival handbook but a book written by John “Lofty” Wiseman who got out of the SAS in 1985…. Yeap real up to date…. here it says he was in for 26 years and he is on youtube saying 27 years and he states he got out in 1985. The book uses the name SAS as if this is what the British military uses and it is NOT. I am sure the title helps sell this book, but the content is not up to date and is lacking in many areas. The book is some what helpful but if you think your getting a true military manual from the SAS your not. There are many good military survival manuals here on Amazon.
5 Stars Boyscout handbook on crack
This is without doubt the best investment i have ever made. This book has everything a person would need to survive. However, it does expect the reader to already have crude and basic survival knowledge. Some of the terms are not explained. Easily fixed with the classic dictionary.
5 Stars Skills you’ll need in to survive
I was impressed at all the information in this book, plant information, knots, shelter, sea water distilling, etc. It resides in my emergency prep kit and should be ready to take with me if necessary.
5 Stars lost knowledge !
Things we as people have lost. There`s no way to remember all of what is in this book but with a little practice at doing some they will stay with you.
If in trouble this would be a great tool to have.

1 Star Cancelled this order on 12/24 and still did not receive refund
I cancelled this order on 12/24 and still have not received refund. I have emailed and called a few times and keep telling me to check my account and it still has not come yet. I do not understand what takes so long to refund your money, it came out of my account in a few days. Everything else I have ordered has come on a timely basis though - other than this, I would recommend Amazon.
5 Stars Technical Skills from a Champion Rider
I’m not a professional mountain biker. Mostly do it just for fun. I was amazed at the things Ned was able to demonstrate in the video. Many trails, and areas that I used to walk my bike through, I am now able to ride through after practicing a few of the techniques in the video. It’s amazing just to watch him execute some of these techniques.
If you are a beginning to intermediate rider you could really benefit from watching this.
I primarily commute with my mountain bike and often use the down Low Glow Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes-Envy(green)Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Single Tube - Envy(green)Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes - Plush(red) It is rugged enought for moutain biking too. I’ve used it on a few late evening rides.
Related moutain biking dvds worth checking out: Wildflower Mountain Biking for Women & Zinn and the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance. Although the wildflower is primarily made by women for women, i think it has useful tips for men too. The zinn dvd I refer to all the time. I’m not one to spend my life reading manuals so i refer to that one all the time.
5 Stars Getting started and moving past beginner
I got this DVD at the same time as I got Fundamentals Mountain Bike Technique DVD .
Ned’s DVD was superior in that it was structured more like a clinic with ideas clearly explained. Nothing too flashy just really good advice and skill teaching.
Extras include trail-side maintenance and setting up your suspension.
4 Stars great for getting past the beginning stages
If you’ve managed to get comfortable riding your bike on that local trail and you’re interested in improving on your handling skills then this will undoubtedly prove to be a great resource. If you’ve read Ned’s book then you’ll find the content is similar. I’d recommend one or the other but not both.
I gave it only four stars because I bought it hoping for coverage of more advanced skills. I wish the page at Amazon had been more descriptive.
